Yooo, if this is your first time receiving a newsletter from me, welcome! If you’ve been subscribed to my newsletter since last year, I know it’s been a minute.

I began this Substack as a way for me to share my theological observations out loud while serving incarcerated youth in Cleveland. However, some of you may be aware that over the past year of my life, God has dramatically pivoted my direction as it relates to vocation and ministry.

As of January of this year, I have officially partnered with TRIBL Records. Home of talent like Maverick City Music, Chandler Moore, Naomi Raine, and more.

‘A long time coming’ is an understatement. This new era of my life is one orchestrated by the favor, love, and purposes of the true and living, triune God - Yahweh.

This opportunity is one that I am grateful for, and I anticipate that this partnership will grow deeper and wider as time passes.

There was a time when I believed that the only medium of communication for the gospel that was most effective was in a sermon on Sunday morning to a congregation of saints and seekers.

Do I still have a passion for those on the margins in our world? Yes.

Do I still have a burden for meditating on and teaching God’s word? Absolutely.I am becoming more and more convinced that the instrumentals for my words are the pulpit.

That my reflections are laced with the good news proclamation that Jesus is king and his kingdom is being made manifest in all of creation.

And every listener is the person I have the privilege to serve with excellent art in the duration of a song, live show, interview, social media post, newsletter, etc.

I believe a part of embracing this new era is being intentional in connecting with you.

The person invested in seeing the journey unfold and is willing to give their time, treasure, and talent along the way.

This newsletter is an extension of the larger community I am cultivating called ‘the table’. As of right now, this community primarily exists on my Instagram broadcast channel.

The idea is that as you find yourself invested, you have found your seat at ‘the table’. It is my goal with this newsletter that in every update, behind-the-scenes look, etc. that there will be a spirit of solidarity.

Less of a transaction between leader and followers, more of a movement of people who share the same value of inspiring hope in the people and places you find yourself in proximity to right now.
